Lonza Custom Manufacturing is committed to the implementation of the Responsible Care Programs laid down by the respective national chemical associations with regard to the information it publishes on products, processes, equipment and their impact on both the public and the environment. As a result of this, Lonza is entitled to use the Responsible Care® logo.

Environmental Management
|
|
Lonza Custom Manufacturing believes in minimizing the environmental impact of its activities by tackling environmental issues pro-actively rather than merely responding to the demands of legislative and monitoring bodies. Lonza’s goal is also to minimize waste production while at the same time lowering costs, by identifying all potential waste sources and assessing their environmental impact- ideally eliminating these risks from the manufacturing process. Ultimately, all waste will be dealt with in an environmentally sound manner, while maximizing efficient use of energy resources.
Lonza takes special care in waste recycling and waste treatment for all material flows generated by its plants. Each Lonza plant has dedicated state-of-the-art waste management facilities. Further information is available under the specific Manufacturing Capabilities chapters.
