Should I amplify GS-NS0 cell lines? |
 | | At Lonza we don’t routinely perform amplification on GS-NS0s, as we are usually able to achieve sufficiently high expression levels without this. Our selection strategy relies on the screening of a large number of transfectants (up to 300 at the 96-well plate stage of selection, by procedure B in the manual) in order to ensure we identify the highest producers. However, if the cell lines obtained do not yield acceptable levels of product then the selection and subsequent growth in the presence of elevated levels of MSX can be helpful. A method for performing this type of selection can be found in the GS manual. |
