 | | A wide variety of signal sequences, which direct a synthesised peptide towards the cell’s secretory pathways, are available. Lonza routinely uses antibody derived signal sequences to enable antibody secretion. Furthermore, Lonza has successfully expressed antibodies with the heavy and light chain genes having either the same or different leader sequences. Alternative signal sequences have also been successfully used in GS cell line constructions. For the expression of antibody genes, the Kabat database is a useful source of signal sequences. |
